1. Electrical Inspector
The Electrical Inspector’s primary objective is to coordinate and control execution of inspections, analyze all process and auxiliary equipment so that the condition of each piece of equipment can be monitored and maintained at a high level of operating performance.
Requirements
- Minimum of Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Electrical Engineering or 5 years of work experience in Cement manufacturing.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- For good job performance, good communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Resistance to stress
- Ability to lead employees is required
- Knowledge of the Cement Process.
- Must be able to lead a team of five craftsmen on specific activities.
2. Electrical Technician
The Position requires knowledge of Electrical and Instrumentation engineering as applicable in cement production. Responsible to execute independently work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of techniques, procedures and criteria.
Requirements
- Trade Test 3 – Mechanical, NABTEB or City and Guilds
- ​Minimum of five (5) years in modern integrated cement/large scale industry in the similar field.
- Hands-On experience on ABB and Siemens Variable Frequency/Speed Drives.
- Knowledge of Medium and Low Voltage Electric Motors and their Applications.
- Knowledge of ABB Switch-Gears.
- Knowledge of 11KV/400V Power Distribution Panels and Motor Centre.
- Knowledge of Cement Industrial Instrumentation and Controls.
- Ability to work under pressure with little or no supervision
3. Mechanical Inspector
The Mechanical Inspector’s primary objective is to coordinate and control execution of inspections, analyze all process and auxiliary equipment so that the condition of each piece of equipment can be monitored and maintained at a high level of operating performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering, including rotating machines. Equipment maintenance, condition monitoring, in cement manufacturing company, refinery, power or heavy process plant.
- Knowledge of gearboxes, transmissions, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding techniques, lubrication, and mechanical non-destructive testing.
- Adequate Knowledge related to equipment function & maintenance (Crusher, Stacker, Reclaimer, Raw mill, Belt Conveyors & Aux. Equipment).
- Good knowledge of Machinery Condition Monitoring technologies and maintenance philosophies
- Ability to trouble shoot problems and propose corrective actions.
- Excellent knowledge of vibration analysis, oil analysis, wear measurement, thermography, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, radiography, etc.
4. Mechanical Planner
The Mechanical Planner is responsible for preparing all planned maintenance that has to be carried out by the Mechanical Execution team, service companies or contractors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- CMRP certification
- Good knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of gearboxes, transmissions, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding techniques, lubrication, and mechanical non-destructive testing.
- Adequate Knowledge related to equipment function & maintenance (Crusher, Stacker, Reclaimer, Raw mill, Belt Conveyors & Aux. Equipment).
- Good knowledge of Machinery Condition Monitoring technologies and maintenance philosophies.
- Ability to trouble shoots the problem and proposed corrective actions.
- Excellent knowledge of vibration analysis, oil analysis, wear measurement, thermography, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, radiography, etc.
- Knowledge of CMMS and ERP; SAP.
- Good knowledge of RCA methodology and facilitating skills.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering, including rotating machines. Equipment maintenance, condition monitoring, in cement manufacturing company, refinery, power or heavy process plant
5. Mechanical Technician
You will be tasked with the role of maintenance of cement plant equipment.
Requirements
- Trade Test 3 – Mechanical, NABTEB or City and Guilds
- Minimum of five (5) years in modern integrated cement/large scale industry in the similar field.
- Efficiency in the use of measuring tools.
- Mechanical Apprenticeship certification.
- Mechanical Technical problem solving skills.
6. Electrical Engineer
The jobholder will be responsible for independently executing technical activities that require sound judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and standards to support safe and efficient plant operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in modern integrated cement/large scale industry in the similar field.
- Good knowledge of cement manufacturing process.
- Medium and Low Voltage Electric Motors and their Applications.
- Have critical knowledge on ABB Switch-Gears.
- Have critical knowledge on 11KV/400V Power Distribution Panels and Motor Centre.
- Cement Industrial Instrumentation and Controls.
- Hand-On experience on ABB and Siemens Variable Frequency/Speed Drives.
- Membership of relevant regulatory bodies (COREN, NSE) is an advantage.
7. Mechanical Engineer
The role holder is responsible for ensuring the efficient coordination of all mechanical maintenance related execution activities in any designated area in the plant.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of various applicable safety standards.
- Knowledge of relevant plant equipment and flow.
- Knowledge of Critical Path Analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of Failure Root Cause Analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of Welding conventions and operation.
- Knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic conventions.
- 5 years’ hands-on experience in a process industry.
- Pure and in-depth understanding of mechanics of machines.
- Accuracy in troubleshooting and correction in hydraulic systems.
- Excellent Engineering drawing interpretation
8. Automation Engineer
The role will oversee the maintenance, sustainability, and continuous improvement of the plant’s automated control systems and process optimization platforms through the use of existing and emerging software and hardware technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering or Electronic or Physics as main subjects)
- 4/5 years’ postgraduate experience
- Good knowledge of product quality parameters and quality control tests.
- Good knowledge of computer aided systems for kiln and mill operation.
- Able to take initiative based on sound problem solving skills
- Good knowledge of cement manufacturing process
9. Electrical Planner
The Electrical Planner is responsible for assisting with the development of a reliability-based maintenance strategy, based on preventive and predictive maintenance, to improve the efficiency and productivity of the Plant workforce, service companies and contractors.
Requirements
- University degree in electrical engineering or a minimum of 5/7 years of fieldwork experience in cement industry.
- Familiar with cement plant equipment.
- Good knowledge of technical standards and applications.
- Computer literacy and knowledge in Lotus Notes Work Order System is necessary.
- Maintenance planning (preventive & predictive).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems & plant equipment.
- CMMS proficiency (work order systems, asset tracking).
- Strong HSE awareness.
