Qualification and Requirements
1. Assistant Research Officer
Location: Nairobi
- A bachelor’s degree in Social Science & Humanities, Public Health, Nursing or equivalent
- At least one-year experience of qualitative data collection skills including conducting group and individual interviews and discussions, and/or translation and transcription of qualitative data
2. Post-Doctoral Researcher
Location: Nairobi/Kilifi
- A relevant PhD/DPhil in health-related fields such as empirical ethics, anthropology, public health, social sciences, philosophy, health system research, public/community engagement, human behaviour, psychology. Mandatory
- Demonstrated experience in planning and undertaking empirical ethics or health systems studies, including planning for and collecting, analysing and interpreting data.
3. Research Officer (Social Science)
Location: Mombasa
- Minimum A Master’s degree in a relevant subject such as Social Science & Humanities Anthropology or sociology-, from a recognized institution.
- At least 3 years of research experience, ideally including experience in collecting and analysing qualitative research data through interviews, focus group discussions and non-participant observations, health systems research, stakeholder engagement. Mandatory
- Evidence of ability to produce and publish research.
4. Post Doctoral Researcher – CARISSA STUDY
Location: Kilifi
- Minimum PhD in in Epidemiology or related field any other relevant field from a recognized university Mandatory
- An undergraduate degree in a health-related field (including Medicine and Surgery)
- If medically qualified, should be registered (or eligible to be registered) with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
- Minimum One (1) Year Academic and/or Practical experience in Research from a reputable Research institution
5. Epidemiology and Demography Departmental Manager
Location: Kilifi
- A Masters in Business Administration/ Project Management or professional training or equivalent from an accredited institution
- An undergraduate degree in science discipline
- Minimum Ten (10) years relevant experience, five (5) years of which at Managerial level
- Experience managing a large and diverse organization or department in a similar setting.
6. Post Doctoral Researcher – PHISG
Location: Nairobi
- PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology, or a related quantitative field.
- Post-doctoral or equivalent research experience in statistical or epidemiological analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in analysing health or population data.
- Experience with reproducible research practices and statistical programming (R, Stata, or Python)
7. Assistant Research Officer (Social Science)
Location: Nairobi/Mombasa
- A bachelor’s degree in in relevant subjects such as Social Science & Humanities, Public Health, Nursing, or equivalent from a recognized institution
- At least one-year of research experience, ideally including experience in collecting and analysing qualitative research data
- Knowledge of NVivo (qualitative analysis) software will be an added
8. Pharmacist
Location: Kilifi
- Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy or any other relevant field from a recognized university
- Must be registered with the Pharmacy & Poisons Board.
- Registration Certificate as a Pharmacist (PPB), Annual Practice License for a Pharmacist (PPB)
- Sound knowledge of GCP, SOPs, Pharmacy law and regulatory requirements, and pharmacovigilance.
- Experience working in vaccine or maternal–infant studies is an added advantage
